St. Patricks day is here and the weekend festivities on Anna Maria Island have commenced! Anna Maria Island makes for a great weekend celebration since this time of year is the busiest out of the entire year. Day festivals will be going on throughout the entire weekend, themed celebrations will be abound, parades will run and green beer will flow! Friday – March 17th
♣ The Freckled Fin – Located in downtown Bradenton Beach on the corner of Bridge St. & Gulf Dr. The Freckled Fin will be playing live music with 5 bands all day long starting at 10am! Bring the kids from 2pm-4pm for balloons and family entertainment.
♣ Longboat Island Chapel – Keep heading South down Gulf of Mexico over the Long Boat Pass and head to the Longboat Island Chapel for a St. Patrick’s Day dinner and a show, it starts at 4pm and is only $35 a person!
♣ Sunset Drum Circle – Grab a green bikini and head to the public beach in Holmes Beach! The drum circle starts at 5pm and you’re sure to see the locals out in a rainbow of verdant hues.
♣ Anna Maria Oyster Bar – Another fun event in downtown Bradenton Beach, head over for all you can eat corned beef and cabbage, green beer and a water view.
♣ Island Time – On the corner of Gulf Dr. & Bridge St. across from The Freckled Fin in downtown Bradenton Beach, Island Time will have live music, indoor and outdoor seating and most importantly green beer!
♣ Bridge Tender Inn – Downtown Bradenton Beach offers another St. Patrick’s day festivity, Bridge Tender will have traditional corned beef & cabbage along with live music!
♣ Hurricane Hanks– This will be their first holiday celebration under the new ownership, stop bye and check it out, they’ll have corned beef & cabbage on the menu along with shepherd’s pie and Irish whisky cocktails.
Saturday – March 18th
♣ Arts & Crafts Festival – The City Hall event field will host the arts and craft festival from 10AM-4PM on Saturday. Check out the vendor booths that will have all kind of island exclusive buys from art and apparel to music and food, the whole family is invited to enjoy!

Sunday – March 19th
♣ Arts & Crafts Festival – The City Hall event field will host the arts and craft festival from 10AM-4PM on Saturday. Stop by for new bands, more food and family festivities!
♣ AMI St. Patrick’s Day Parade – The only St. Patrick’s Day parade south of Savannah, GA! The annual parade features all the traditional floats, beads, costumes, music, and a bagpipe. The parade is locally famed and not to be missed, it is one of the few occasions in which they shut down the main roads and allow you to park a umbrella and beach chair along the sidelines!
