One of our favorite things to do on the island is spend a day carousing for jewelry! From sleek minimalist pieces in hammered silver to glass beaded bangles or a dazzling new watch, Anna Maria is a local mecca from those loving casual elegance to modern glitz. With 3 main shopping districts among other scattered local shops there are hours of shopping to be done, bright and airy structures beacon you in with open doors where you’ll find rainbows of gleaming treasures; you can be sure all staff you run into will be just as happily approachable as whichever inviting store you just strolled into and the prices you’ll find here will put a smile on your face as well. Keep reading as we walk you through the best boutiques and make sure you don’t miss any hidden gems!
Start on the south end of the island, fuel up with an energizing breakfast from Gulf Drive Tiki Café (they have an extensive breakfast menu and if you’re wanting a lighter meal create your own from their giant list of sides). Afterwards head 2 minutes North to Bridge Street, the first shopping district on our list. On Bridge Street you’ll find stores carrying handmade beach bling to high end jewelers who sell top notch pieces from Tahitian Pearls to Diamonds.

After Bradenton Beach, we’ll make our way to the middle city on Anna Maria – Holmes Beach. Holmes Beach is the most residential area on the island which means you’ll find a lot of everyday pieces that easily blend into the casual resort wear theme of AMI. If you worked up an appetite on Bridge Street and want to grab lunch I suggest Scott’s Deli for the best sandwich you can hope to find West of the Mainland or if you just need to fuel up with something light I suggest Smoothie King (yes it’s corporate but still top notch for nutrition and flavor). Holmes Beach is only about 2 miles worth of town so the shopping here will be a conveniently quick loop…
